Kel,the owner is always there to help,and talk to customers.He even had one of his service techs,check and readjust steering and swingarm bearings for me. "It's been a week now that I've purchased my Raptor 700. I really have'nt taken my bike anywhere yet but I personally wanted to give Pasadena Yamaha a thumbs up. I have been looking for a quad for over two(2) months just trying to find a really good deal. I have consistently talked to Brian from the sales department and he has so much patience in me. He knew that I was very particular in spending money but he treated me very nicely trying to get me the best deal for my money. He have responded so efficiently returning my calls. I could have purchased an ATV elsewhere because other places would like to match or even get close to the price given to me but due to his politeness and kindness, I decided to drive from riverside to pasadena to purchase the bike because of such a wonderful customer service. I was also amazed with the owner himself. Although I tried to sqeeze out the lowest price from him, he still gave me special attention. He even came out to wipe off the bike with a special type of cleaner. He gave me special instructions on how to operate the bike although I already knew. He shared some tips on how to properly maintain the bike. He personally carried the ramp inorder for us to load the bike on my truck. I say --- is this service or what???. I know ATV's depreciate but with the excellent service, my bike already appreciated because I highly appreciate good service. Thank you Kel. "On Aug 11th, 2005 I completed a 2,268 mile trip from MN to Glendale on an 04 FJR 1300. I had approx. 5,800 miles on the MEZ4's before I left on the trip, and I wanted to have new tires installed before the trip back to MN, and I wanted to find a Yamaha dealer close to Glendale. So I did a Google search and found the Pasadena Yamaha website. I read the positive commments from a customer about this dealership, so I decided to email Kel and ask about what tires they had available and getting the bike in for service. Kel promptly emailed back and said they had Dunlops and Bridgestones available, and to call. On Friday, Aug 12th, I brought the bike in for new tires. They said they were pretty busy, and probably couldn't get it done until Sat. I said no problem, keep it overnight and I'll pick it up on Sat. Much to my surprise, I received a phone call from Kel approx. four hours later to say the new tires were installed and the bike was ready! Knowing I was out on vacation and visiting, I believe Pasadena Yamaha went the "extra mile" to accomodate me. I found the staff to be friendly and professional. This is the first motorcycle dealership which greeted me with "May I help you Sir?" This dealership is also the first I have encountered that had all three tire brands available for the FJR in stock, Dunlops, Bridgestones, and Michelin. The dealership is clean, and appears to be well stocked. Kel even took the time out of his busy day to chat with my brother and I about my trip and how the FJR performed on the trip. "This letter was written to the Yamaha Corporation: 15 November 2004 To Whom It May Concern: I’m a proud owner of a 2004 YZF600R. This is my first bike, which I purchased on August 28th of this year at Pasadena Yamaha, Pasadena California. The purpose of this letter is to let you know of the efforts of the owner and the employees of a local Yamaha dealer and how hard they worked to keep me as a satisfied customer, unlike Yamaha Motor Corporation. During the first week of November, I noticed that the bike did not sound as good as it should, so on the 6th of November, I took the bike to the dealer, and the initial diagnosis was that piston number one was not functioning properly. Needless to say this was a very surprising thing to me since the bike had only 1800 miles, and it had it’s first 600 mile service done as directed by the owner’s manual. So upon talking with the mechanics and the owner, it was agreed upon to go through the proper paper work and request authorization for Yamaha Motors, to cover the repair costs under the warranty, since the bike is so new and the problem was not due to negligence. On Wednesday November 10th, I spoke with Kel, the owner of Pasadena Yamaha, and he told me that Yamaha Motors, had turned down the request due to the fact that Yamaha does not have a track record of such problem with this particular bike and the cost of the repair was estimated to be approximately $400. So after thinking about the situation on hand, I told Kel if this is how Yamaha is going to treat me then, they can keep the bike, and I shall go to the bank and make arrangements to stop payments, and I will call Yamaha and tell them how dissatisfied I am with their service. However Kel advised me otherwise, and he told me to wait and he would talk with Yamaha and try to work out a deal. On the following day, 11th of November, at approximately 1:30pm I stopped by the dealership, and Kel told me he has not heard anything back from Yamaha yet, however, he would take responsibility and fix the bike at his cost, and take it up with Yamaha later. On 13th of November, at approximately 2:30pm, Kel called me and told me the bike is ready. As I arrived to the dealership and spoke with the mechanics, I was told that there were various problems with the carburetor. And I just cant help but to think how would a brand new bike with less than 2000 miles, which has been driven regularly around town back and forth to work, without any negligence, and has been filled up with the proper unleaded fuel that has been directed by the owner’s manual, can come up with carburetor problems. And to make matters worse, a multi million dollar corporation such as yours would not even consider to cover the cost of the repairs, but yet a single dealership owner, without any board of directors and fancy chairmen and vice presidents of all different types of operations can take matters upon himself and do the right thing and keep me as a loyal customer. It gives me great pleasure to let you know that due to the efforts of Kel and his crew at Pasadena Yamaha – Terri, Brian, Robert, Jay, Adan and Fernand, I am once again enjoying my bike. I wish I could say the same for your corporation, but unfortunately I can not. This dealership is a great credit to your organization, and should be recognized in every way possible, just as every single rider who advertises your logo for free. "
